I just finished my Blood Elf Priestess from Burning Crusade cinematic (or, almost finished – need to make the staff, but the outfit itself is done). And what do I do? Make another one, of course! On a random impulse, I decided to make a blood elf mage wearing Robes of the Guardian Saint. Decision was made Wednesday, materials purchased Thursday and costume done Monday – that’s 6 days from choosing and planning until executed! It’s a great feeling, I have to admit, especially after the crafting dry spell I just came out of.
To be honest, Guardian Saint (and the other color-versions) have been on my wishlist for a while, but I have been holding off in fear of being called a boob-cosplayer. I do have a tendency to choose very “sexy” references for my costumes. However, I’m encouraged by the fact that I have gotten close to no inappropriate comments on my cosplays through the last years, so I decided to go for it. At first I thought I’d simply use EVA foam for the gold leaf, but decided to challenge myself a bit more and make them from leather. And no regrets at all, I love the way the gold leather leaves look, and they were so much fun to make! But enough of my ramblings! I wanna show pictures! I only have selfies so far, and without make-up, but here they are:
As for the future – well, my wish list will be updated soon!
