Oh man, I am way behind on my convention blog posts!!
I’ll try to catch up in the next few days. Starting with Gamebox 2025, which took place at the end of April this year.
As is tradition, I attended this convention as an exhibitor with my cosplay group, The Warcrafters. We had a big booth in the cosplay area of the 2nd hall. It was a nice, big area and there was a lot of interesting things to see – the artist alley was even bigger this year and we were joined by the 501st Legion’s Danish Garrison as well! Those who managed to find the area seemed to enjoyed it.
But that is sadly a point – this year, people had a hard time finding us. We were placed almost as far away from the entrance as possible, and there were some big, bright booths with lots of no people in front of us, making us kind of hidden away.
Even so, we had a lot of fun! Saw old and new friends, met a lot of people and talked about cosplay.
In the main hall, there was a large Elgiganten booth with lots of gear and loot. LEGO also had a booth, which I thought was great – you could build a little Lego model of a joystick and get to keep it!
As for the rest of the booths – I really didn’t have much time to look, since we mostly spent our time at our own booth.
But the Artist Alley was also cool, I’m always impressed by all the creative things people come up with!
The cosplay show had a large audience and the people participating were talented. I hope the contest will get to grow for next year and maybe move to a bigger stage – I guess we’ll see what happens.
Sadly, the weekend ended with me getting really sick, with a sore throat sneaking up on me Sunday afternoon, so I had to change out of my cosplay before the end of the convention and it turned into a full-blown flu when I arrived home and knocked me out for a few days and left me coughing for a month. (Hence why I forgot to update my blog).
Anyways, below are some images from the event, including a little picture of the hairstyle I made for my druid – I just didn’t feel like having my hair down, so I made my own little version of a night elf hairstyle (although it looks more like a blood elf).
